Trump sanctions Chinese bank in bid to rein in North Korea

Source: CNN Money

On Thursday, the Treasury Department announced a series of sanctions and measures it plans to take. Among them: severing U.S. financial ties with China's Bank of Dandong, which the administration claims acts as a pipeline to support alleged illicit North Korean financial activity.

Treasury also slapped sanctions on two Chinese individuals and one Chinese company.

The moves come in response to North Korea's ongoing efforts to build missiles and its violations of U.N. Security Council resolutions.

In a statement, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin pledged U.S. commitment to maximize pressure on North Korea until it abandons its nuclear and ballistic missile program.

1. Apparently this is one foreign bank Trump HASN'T borrowed money from

George Washington warned us about foreign entanglements. Trump is more entangled than a sea turtle with its head stuck in a six-pack ring.

2. There is a bigger picture here that I don't think any of us get....

You would expect that North Korea would capitulate with all the sanctions that have been applied to them. The people are starving, and they don't produce enough to be fook'n around with nuclear capability experimentation. Yet, somehow, they plod on.

I've recently learned the indentured servitude that their citizens endure by being slaves across the world and funneling their money home of mother kim jung un. (sp?) I suspect there are lots of other reasons that North Korea ignores demands from the international community to give up this obsession with nuclear weapons, but we aren't privy to the details.

I do know that they are scared to death of the United States....AND, for good reason. Look what we did to Libya when they got rid of their nuclear aspirations. Ask Omar's ghost. We have a long and sordid history of helping to overthrow governments...right up to present day. Our imperialism and government manipulation around the world are no secret to anyone but the dRumpf supporters and millions of other out of touch US citizens. They won't listen to the rest of the world when the USA boogeyman is hovering just across the border.

I'm not buying ANYTHING I hear from US sources on this matter. North Korea is probably the biggest threat to the USA today...but I see it as with probable cause.
