Conway: Senators Who Vote Against Repeal 'Will Be Held Accountable'
Source: Talking Points Memo
By CAITLIN MACNEAL Published JULY 20, 2017 8:47 AM
After President Donald Trump on Wednesday pressured Senate Republicans to vote for a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare, White House aide Kellyanne Conway echoed the President, noting that those who vote down repeal will be held accountable in a Wednesday interview on Fox News.
Any Republican Senator who votes against a motion to proceed is basically saying, were proceeding with ObamaCare, she told Fox News Sean Hannity.
Hannity then jumped in to note that were going to hold them accountable.
Conway agreed, saying, Thats right, they will be held accountable. She then told senators who have issues with the bill to allow the legislation to proceed on the floor and then offer amendments.

I am deathly afraid of Donald J.Trump, and further I believe everyone should be. This demagogic, terribly ignorant, unlettered, self confessed non reader, of books, as well as intelligence briefings, is a loose cannon.
He plays to a kernel of extremists, bigots and haters who remain loyal despite mounting evidence of his unfitness to hold office. He is already on a campaign to strip health care from anywhere between 20 to 32 million Americans according to the OMB, has isolated the US from all our allies, and may very well be simply a self serving, profit seeking entrepreneur who see th office of the President as a money making opportunity only.
Ignorance such as he displays time and again, is very dangerous and he should be both feared and opposed.

(9,426 posts)The voters are completely forgotten in this mess. Who the HELL thinks Conway holds any sway with anyone? She, and Hannity are so full of their own importance, yet neither is in any position of power. Kellyanne looks "Rode hard, put up wet" at every appearance. Time to lay off the booze.

(23,097 posts)Gee, what could go wrong with that? I hope they have some stones and stand up to orange assface and stand for the people in their districts instead. That would be so against party orthodoxy, but would show if any of them are truly representatives vs. pure takers.

Worked well in Germany..... for a while.
Thats right, they will be held accountable. - I imagine it spoken with your stereotypical German accent!

(16,949 posts)If trump was threatening to send thugs out to beat up senators or kill their families, that'd be one thing (and illegal as all hell) but if all he's gonna do is more tiny hand-tiny mind tweeting...as Cheech and Chong said, "Whata ya trying to do? Tickle me?"
The trouble with having a bunch of elitist Milquetoasts in office is they don't have courage.

(47,419 posts)has not heard of "separation of powers". Senators don't answer to the president, they answer to their constituents. She must be thinking of Russia!

Hell, TRUMP probably thinks he can fire senators!

(47,419 posts)You're right, they probably would flunk an eighth grade civics class. They have no idea what they are doing. It is like a slap-stick comedy about a bunch of incompetents trying to run government, except it isn't funny. Even as a farce, it wouldn't be believable.

They really do want a dictatorship. Eliminate separate judiciary and legislature, squash a free press, eliminate universal franchise
Check our Bannon's influences. They get their inspiration from Mussolini, not Montesquieu
