In response to potential North Korean threat, Sen. Deb Fischer says its time to get tough on China

WASHINGTON Its time to bring the economic hammer down on China and anyone else doing business with the regime of Kim Jong Un in North Korea.
Thats the message from Sen. Deb Fischer, R-Neb., in a commentary she wrote for todays edition of The World-Herald.
Congress gave President Donald Trump broad authority to take action against nations facilitating the North Korean regime, Fischer said. Its time for the president to use that authority and show China that continued support for the North Koreans will harm its own interests.
In the wake of North Koreas recent testing of an intercontinental ballistic missile that could potentially reach major U.S. cities, debate over how to respond has included calls for stepped-up diplomacy and threats of U.S. military intervention.

(10,109 posts)Along with Ben Sasse who for some reason gets a lot of press. He's McCain 2.0, no military record, but makes sometimes moderate comments which of course the corporate media drools over, but then is 100% behind tiny hands.
