In response to potential North Korean threat, Sen. Deb Fischer says its time to get tough on China

Source: Omaha World Herald

By Joseph Morton

WASHINGTON — It’s time to bring the economic hammer down on China and anyone else doing business with the regime of Kim Jong Un in North Korea.

That’s the message from Sen. Deb Fischer, R-Neb., in a commentary she wrote for today’s edition of The World-Herald.

“Congress gave President Donald Trump broad authority to take action against nations facilitating the North Korean regime,” Fischer said. “It’s time for the president to use that authority and show China that continued support for the North Koreans will harm its own interests.”

In the wake of North Korea’s recent testing of an intercontinental ballistic missile that could potentially reach major U.S. cities, debate over how to respond has included calls for stepped-up diplomacy and threats of U.S. military intervention.

Why does she lump them all together? The North Koreans and Chinese, I mean.

There must be some logic to not going after the perpetrator.

Full of the substance this Senator is known for. Fischer reserves her strongest policy thinking planning humiliation tactics for women seeking the right to chose.

Along with Ben Sasse who for some reason gets a lot of press. He's McCain 2.0, no military record, but makes sometimes moderate comments which of course the corporate media drools over, but then is 100% behind tiny hands.

Peace
