WASHINGTON (AP) President Donald Trumps former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, is revealing a brief advisory role with a firm related to a controversial data analysis company that aided the Trump campaign, The Associated Press has learned.
The disclosure of Flynns link to Cambridge Analytica will come in an amended public financial filing in which the retired U.S. Army lieutenant general also discloses income that includes payments from the Trump transition team, according to a person close to Flynn who spoke to AP on condition of anonymity Thursday to describe details of the filing made to the White House.
The amended disclosure shows that just before the end of the campaign, Flynn entered into a consulting agreement with SCL Group, a Virginia-based company related to Cambridge Analytica, the data mining and analysis firm that worked with Trumps campaign.

Cambridge Analytica was heavily funded by the family of Robert Mercer, a hedge fund manager who also backed the campaign and other conservative candidates and causes. Cambridge Analytica also worked for the successful pro-Brexit campaign in 2016 to pull Britain out of the European Union. Trump administration chief strategist Steve Bannon was a vice president of Cambridge Analytica before he joined the Trump campaign.

(97 posts)That Trump and Co, used CA demographic info to funnel the Russia fake news to their target audiences. Brexit did the same thing. If they can find the connection, then I think it is pretty clear that collusion occurred. If Trump and Co disbursed the fake Russian stories to their CA target base, then that should be a slam dunk.

Unfortunately Republican party never planned a transition?, who they would hire for the thousands of Federal positions?,
Let Pence do all the work and I guess expected Obamas competent personnel to stay on and continue to do all the work for Republicans.
Many Republicans have been in government for decades- why didn't those Republicans help THEIR NEWBIE President be successful?
