Citing death threats, 18-year-old who attended violent Va. rally wont return to BU

Source: Boston Globe

An 18-year-old who attended the white supremacist rally that turned violent in Charlottesville, Va., says he is not returning to Boston University in the fall, in part because of death threats he has received for his political views.

“It’s becoming very dangerous,’’ Nicholas Fuentes said Tuesday in a phone interview.

He said he has received 15 death threats over the past week via e-mail and social media.

if they decide on their own to transfer or take time off from college? I suspect that this hiatus wasn't entirely Nick's choice. Privacy laws will prevent BU from filling in any details beyond their conformation that he is "no longer enrolled."

When transgender people in the armed forces got concerned about what that Twitter rant would mean for their careers and their futures, he probably cheered it on.

Almost wonder how many are really hoping the threats get carried out.

we're talking about someone who went to a white nationalist rally where people were chanting homophobic, racist, anti-Semitic slogans. Imagine if you will that you're a Jew or a Muslim or gay and a gang of these yahoos are marcing towards you, loudly declaiming their hatred. Would you feel threatened? Would you be frightened? Would you be in fear for your life? Very probably. So no sympathy for this prick from me.

Alt-right figure says he's been admitted to Auburn

Updated on August 20, 2017 at 10:12 AM Posted on August 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM

By William Thornton wthornton@al.com

Nicholas Fuentes, the 19-year-old alt-right figure who hosts "America First" on the Auburn-based Right Side Network, says he has been accepted to Auburn University.

Fuentes, who dropped out of Boston University in the wake of the Charlottesville, Va., white supremacist rally, told the Auburn Plainsman he will be transferring in the spring after receiving what he said were death threats in Boston.

In an interview, Fuentes said he enrolled in Auburn in May. "It's just a matter of getting over there," he said.

A University spokesperson said Fuentes hasn't enrolled.
