Kid Rock opening hometown restaurant-bar in Little Caesars Arena

Kid Rock won't just be opening Detroit's new arena with six shows — he's going to have a permanent presence there.

Kid Rock's Made in Detroit restaurant, to open on the Woodward Avenue side of Little Caesars Arena, will serve "classic Detroit and Southern-influenced dishes," along with "local beers and craft cocktails," according to today's announcement.

The establishment, which will be decked out in Kid Rock memorabilia, will maintain a regular schedule open to the general public, including non-event days. The rear of the restaurant will include an entryway to the arena for those holding tickets to games or concerts.

The 5,800-square-foot, 230-seat establishment will also showcase Detroit-area musicians.

Square pizzas and kielbasa sound just about right for stadium food. He should do pretty well.

And the Poles have quite a few dishes that'd be excellent stadium food, like pierogies, paczki, kielbasa and, of course, pivo.

I'm not super crazy about Polish beer; if you get it in Europe it's quite a bit sweeter than German beer is. (If you get it in the US, it's skunky as hell...but then again, so is most European beer. When the hell will people realize beer is as perishable as milk?)

But feel free to knock Kid Rock all you want.

on the same weekend. I'm annoyed.

I'd prefer they'd have opened the new stadium with at least a rotation of Michigan-based acts, including Bob Seger, maybe some jazz or gospel, some funk.

The Redwing's and the arena management should be a bit more sensitive to the political atmosphere.

And as another poster stated Mike I would probably had nothing to do with this junk.

This classless trailer trash asshat supports Trump and his divisive policies.

I was very pleased that the Redwings issued a statement, and a legal challenge to the White Facist morans in Detroit that hijacked their logo.

It seems a bit odd to me that there would be any kind of endorsement for this fool.

I hope that the African Americans boycott this cancer cafe.

"....decked out in Kid Rock memorabilia".... what, like Confederate flags and wife beater T-Shirts.

Get me a barf bag quick!

with Sarah Palin and Ted Nugent, I'd be afraid that all the food at Kid Rock's must taste like pig vomit.

And it's a bit of free advertising for him. If you really want to repost it, I suggest The Lounge or the Entertainment group. But I'd point out he's a Republican, and who wants to give one of them free advertising?
