Reince Priebus hopes Sarah Palin speaks in Tampa
Source: Politico
I think a lot of her and hope that she does speak, Priebus told Greta Van Susteren on Fox News on Monday night.
GOP leaders recently announced its first wave of convention speakers, including Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Rick Santorum.
If Palin does speak, she would join other prominent GOP women whose national profiles have risen since Palin was pushed onto the national spotlight after McCain chose her as his running mate. In addition to Rice, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez also will be speaking.

Unless the RNC has another off-the-reservation Chair, I can't imagine he said this without Romney's okay. In which case, either Mittens is still insanely desperate to suck up to the Tea Party, or he's leading her and them on, in which case the backlash when she doesn't show up will be worse than ignoring her in the first place.

(1,085 posts)I can hardly wait to hear her penetrating analysis and keen insights into the evils of the Obama administration. Since she ran for VP is she is far more qualified to be VP as Putin has flown over Alaskan airspace many more times, and historians have proven that Paul Revere really did ride from town to town shouting, "The Americans are Armed..the NRA is ready" scaring the crap out of the invading Spanish.
Yes I look forward to seeing her there and hearing her speak!
You betcha!!

(10 posts)The last I heard, she hadn't even been invited to attend the Convention, knowing her, she will crash the party and make her not so grand entrance. They have enough trouble without having her around.

(1,791 posts)In fact they should embed her with the Romney campaign and allow her to speak as long and as often as she likes.
