Schumer: Trump's Asia trip a 'colossal flop'

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) panned President Trump's 12-day Asia trip as a "colossal flop" Tuesday in a speech delivered on the Senate floor.

In fiery remarks Tuesday morning, Schumer said he had "never been more ashamed" of a president's actions abroad, according to a transcript of his remarks.

"I have never been so ashamed of a foreign trip in my years. It's just inside-out," Schumer said. "We attack our friends and the people who have given us the most trouble, China and Russia, we molly -- that is so bad for the future of this country."

Schumer blasted Trump for actions that he said "unsettled" U.S. allies and "emboldened" the country's enemies. "Adding insult to injury, he seems to have a love for dictators," Schumer said. "In the Philippines where a strongman leader is engaged in killings does Trump admonish him? No, he lectures and unsettles our allies while emboldening our adversaries by treating them with kid gloves."

3. The trip accomplished one thing

It got Cheeto out of Washington last Tuesday, so he wouldn't have to answer for the disaster of the election.

But I'm glad that Schumer is letting him have it with both barrels. I just find it hard to believe he didn't say anything about Cheeto's meeting with Putin. I mean, that was the whole reason for the trip, right? Putin won't come to Washington, so Trump has to go to Asia to meet with him. What the hell?

11. I don't know if people have realized that Trump is really a coward

Every instance he has spoken "hard" about anyone, he cowards when he is in front of them.

Also, I have seen a trend with trump, and watch closely, every time he knows he is lying, and he is not behind a podium, he crosses his arms, just watch. I think he feels the podium protects him.
