Two more women describe unwanted overtures by Roy Moore at Alabama mall
Source: WA Post
Gena Richardson says she was a high school senior working in the mens department of Sears at the Gadsden Mall when a man approached her and introduced himself as Roy Moore.
He said, You can just call me Roy, says Richardson, who says this first encounter happened in the fall of 1977, just before or after her 18th birthday, as Moore, then a 30-year-old local attorney, was gaining a reputation for pursuing young women at the mall in Gadsden, Ala.
His overtures caused one store manager to tell new hires to watch out for this guy, another young woman to complain to her supervisor and Richardson to eventually hide from him when he came in Sears, the women say.
Richardson says Moore now a candidate for U.S. Senate asked her where she went to school, and then for her phone number, which she says she declined to give, telling him that her father, a Southern Baptist preacher, would never approve.
A few days later, she says, she was in trigonometry class at Gadsden High when she was summoned to the principals office over the intercom in her classroom. She had a phone call.

Gena Richardson said that their eventual movie date ended in a dark parking lot where he gave her a forceful "tongue kiss" that scared her. (That sounds like what happened to Beverly Young when he said he'd drive her home from the restaurant, but took her to a dark parking lot instead.)
Another teenager also employed at Sears, Becky Gray, complained to her supervisor about Roy Moore.
So now there are 4 women who have complained about being bothered by Moore at the mall: Gena Richardson; Becky Gray; and Wendy Miller and Gloria Thacker Deason, whose stories were previously reported by The Washington Post.
Also, Kayla McLaughlin, a co-worker of Gena Richardson's, confirmed her account.
Also, yet another mall employee, Phyllis Smith, talked about how girls would warn each other about him: just make yourself scarce when Roys in here, hes just here to bother you, dont pay attention to him and hell go away.

This guy( I refuse to call him Judge as he was removed from the bench) thinks hes correct on everything and recognizes no ones authority but his own.
He loses nothing if he remains in the race, he might win.
Hes not going to withdraw.

(959 posts)he chose vulnerable girls, the young and untried, women who were in legal battles, due to divorce and custody issues, girls who were not of age to be on their own or to have any real life experience out in the world. What a nasty prick he is. The reporter who exposed all this was asked on TRMS if there was any evidence that he had ever had a relationship with a female even close to his age, and the reporter just replied NO. The present Mrs. Moore is 15 years younger than he is. Not a big deal at 55 and 70, but a HUGE deal at 15 and 30.
