All six Baltimore officers involved in the highly publicized 2015 death of Freddie Gray have been cleared of all wrongdoing and will remain on the force with full pay, officials unexpectedly announced Wednesday.
Sgt. Alicia White was the last officer scheduled to face a trial board on Dec. 5 over the arrest that resulted in Gray's death on April 19, 2015. But police spokesman T.J. Smith said in an email Wednesday evening that Commissioner Kevin Davis had canceled the hearing and that White would face no further administrative actions.
White's attorney, Tony Garcia, said his client was "grateful" for the decision.
"She has always maintained her innocence from the very beginning," Garcia said.
