Trump Replies to Tweet About Stoking Resentment Against Minorities: 'MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!'

Source: Mediate

by Aidan McLaughlin 7:02 am, November 23rd, 2017

On Wednesday, Washington Post writer Greg Sargent tweeted out a link to his article on the feud between LaVar Ball and President Donald Trump, with the caption: Trump regularly attacks high-profile African Americans to feed his supporters belief that the system is rigged for minorities:

And early Thanksgiving morning, Trump replied to the tweet, writing MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

As of writing, Trump's tweet has yet to be deleted.

Sargents article, which is linked to in his tweet, is fiercely critical of Trump, and accuses him of targeting African American athletes not just to stoke the culture wars, as this euphemism often has it but, more precisely, to stoke the sense among many of his supporters that the system is unfairly rigged on behalf of minorities, and that hes here to put things right.

Trump has come under fire recently for his repeated attacks on African American athletes, from NFL players kneeling during the national anthem to protest injustice (hes bashed them as privileged) to the UCLA basketball players recently freed from Chinese prison (he all but demanded their gratitude for working to release them, and called LaVar Ball ungrateful for his response to the debacle.)

UPDATE

Trump touts economy, vows to build border wall in Thanksgiving tweets

BY BROOKE SEIPEL - 11/23/17 06:57 AM EST

President Trump wished his Twitter followers a Happy Thanksgiving early Thursday morning, touting the strong performance of the nation's stock market and vowing to build a wall along the U.S. border with Mexico.

Last month employers added 261,000 jobs, and the unemployment rate fell to 4.1 percent, the lowest level since December of 2000 when it was 3.9 percent, the Labor Department reported on Friday.

Trump and his aides have frequently taken credit for the stock boom, a rare step for administrations wary of tying themselves to any unforeseen market downturn.

Trump has recently reiterated his calls to build a wall along the country's southern border after a U.S. Border Patrol agent died from injuries he sustained on patrol in Texas.

That's like the undersized, clumsy, totally unathletic kid on the football team getting to go in for one play when the team is already winning 48-0 in the fourth quarter bragging that he single handedly won the game for his team.

And it's a fact that Trump attacks minorities to appease his base.

He attacked the poor widow of a soldier who was killed in Niger. He regularly attacks black elected officials who speak out.

In essence, he's a racist.

January being, of course the inaugural month.

Remember during the campaign when Trump talked about the "terrible economy" and trumpeted that there were 94 million "jobless" or "out of work" Americans? And that the "real unemployment rate" was 40%?

Well, that 94.4 million (in January), now 95.4 million is the Not In The Labor Force number (age 16+), and includes full time students and genuinely retired people, even centenarians. And it's growing because 10,000 boomers / day retire on average.

But anyway, the point is that he made a big deal about it during the campaign, and is totally ignoring the number now.

Trump has a bad history with African Americans and other people of color;

And, last time I checked, we're still on the Obama economy. Oh, never forget that supreme court seat was unconstitutionally stolen from President Obama.

They keep companies from screwing over their employees and the towns they occupy. You might want to read up on that and stop listening to fucking Fox News!

Oh and this is classic stalker behavior, BTW.
