Townships are going to send bills with 4 working days left in the year? People are supposed to pay by year end?

Tax collectors' phones will ring off the hook. The well connected, with money hanging around to pay the bill, might get full play.

Cash, check, or credit card?

One can do a partial payment to shove property tax amounts greater than 10k limit into the 2017 tax year.

The tax collectors in Towns & Villages will not accept a partial payment (noting that county taxes are included in that bill). School Districts will, if your making a 2nd or 3rd installment get them postmarked by the 30th.

For years taxpayers have been trying to get them to do this. now it comes down to have each governing body having to pass the act for partial collection. I don't think the warrants have even cleared county offices yet. this may be a case of too little too late.

Offices that close at noon on Christmas eve, took that Friday, Sat, Sun, Monday. Were down to the 26 - 29th and again many offices close at noon on the 29th NYrs eve. The window is close, its pretty much down to the US Postal Service. The way they been taxed this year I sometime see my mail at 8:30 PM. They are drowning in Amazon deliveries.

and it also hurts the red states since a lot of monetary support comes from blue states. GOPers has hastily put together this tax scram and doesn't care about the tremendous damage it will install all because of that mean green.

California is preparing also, and one thing about blue run states, our people are pretty darn smart.

Democratic legislators consider consequences to everyone. Maybe not perfectly well, maybe tone deaf at times, but this cavalier “I don’t give a shit how many people we bankrupt this year” attitude is strictly a GOP thing.

from this part of the tax scam is that they hope it will lead to people in the high-tax states screaming at their Statehouses to lower property taxes. After that, services including the university systems are cut and voila, the blue states go down the crapper and turn into Alabama. And there are fewer opportunities for higher education so the population gets further dumbed down. Thom Hartmann recently laid out all of this.

Pukes have no compunction about destroying what's good in those blue states. Look at what they did by wrecking unions followed by the gutting of the middle class.

The South Rises!!!

I hope the blue states outwit the bastards.

Ideologically, they have more in common with Ottawa than DC.

You folks in NY need to find a way to claw back that $48B that Gov Cuomo mentions in the EO.
