The U.S. ambassador to the Netherlands on Saturday apologized after he made two denials to a Dutch news station.
Pete Hoekstra denied past statements that he made calling parts of the country "no-go zones" and the news outlet's report of that recorded quote "fake news."

The comments come after Hoekstra formerly a GOP lawmaker representing Michigan who is Dutch-American was confronted with past statements he made about "no-go zones" in the country.
"No-go zones" are areas that are believed to be too dangerous to enter, and those opposing more immigration in places like Europe have used the reported zones to push back against policies that would open borders.

Pete, your comments confirm you are not qualified to represent US. You are not alone.

How about "I lied about another series of lies I made earlier and in the same conversation lied about the first lie and I am sorry I lied in all three instances." "I regret lying and falsely accusing others, including you specifically of lying."
Fucking Pete Hoekstra, I thought he was finished after Reagan left office.
Where does Trump keep digging these zombies up? Hell Ed Meese and his son were on the Trump's transition team.

Even so, despite that and the fact that he is serving as our country's ambassador to that nation, he doesn't appear to speak any of the main language ("Nederlands" ) or any of the lesser-known languages spoken there (Friesian, Drents, etc.).
When my outfit opened an office in the Netherlands that would be under my direction, the first thing I did was to set about learning Dutch. And yet, we appoint a Dutch-born American as ambassador to the Netherlands who can't speak a word of the language, and shows up on their doorstep insulting them AND their country?
