Fire breaks out Trump Tower in NYC

A fire has broken out near the roof of Trump Tower in New York City.

The blaze started just before 7:00 a.m., the New York Fire Department confirmed.

People posted video and images of smoke rising from the building, which houses both residences and businesses.

(commentary from stream 8:10 am ET indicated that the fire was supposedly "under control" and they are unaware of whether any evacuations outside of one part of the building, had occurred)

8:20 am ET - Manhattan Borough Fire chief Sakaowich gave press conference - they believe it may have been an electrical fire related to heaters that keep the water from the cooling towers up near the roof, from freezing. Fire Marshall still investigating. No evacuations. One injury of a firefighter.

~8:50 am ET - Streets reopened.
