President Trump went back to criticizing Democrats on DACA in an early-morning tweetstorm Saturday.
Following that public bipartisan meeting on immigration and the, um, shitstorm set off by the Presidents reported comments, he said this this morning:

(2,768 posts) Democrats aren't fixing DACA. Why doesn't somebody say, "dude, go fix that shit yourself". He, and the republican party, are like a bunch of children repeatedly breaking things and wanting the nearest adult(Democrat) to fix it.

Almost on cue trump garbage-mouthed the "shithole" comments and that's all she wrote as far as that bit of policy, so the repugs can stuff their complaints about Dems not doing anything on DACA up their you know whats.

(34,195 posts)... before House Majority Leader McCarthy (R-CA) shot it down.
So it's the GOP who blocked it.

(11,885 posts)When Chuck and Nancy agreed on a deal he immediately went back on it, then when they met the other day this week he agreed to a clean bill, then went back on it, then he claimed he'd let them in Congress work out the deal and he'd sign it, and went back on everything he said. The Dems need to talk privately without his knowing it, and agree with a veto proof majority to override him completely , and bypass his games to get attention with. They need to send him a message too regarding his words used the other day , and tell him more will be done this way if he refuses to give the office the respect it deserves. A clean Daca bill would also get the GOP out of the trump sxxxhole he's made for them, and save their party. He's intentionally dragging them down, and to further undermine them.

The whole Democratic caucus should walk out on the State of the Union address. It won't happen, but that would be beautiful. Atrue act of patriotism.

(22,124 posts)No one else did...tRUMP alone.
tRUMP could have left DACA in place but didn't.
tRUMP is so anti-Obama, so anything Obama did, he is going to go after and repeal/cancel/issue executive actions to the effects of gutting anything that Obama did, BASED UPON NO LOGIC other than BIGOTRY, period.
Now if this isn't a hate crime, what is???

(7,528 posts)He did the same thing with ACA! It wasn't failing fast enough, so he took a sledgehammer to it!
This is a mafia technique. "Be a shame if something happens to it..." <smash> "We can keep this from happening for a nominal fee..."
It's also a toddler technique. Throw the toy out of your reach and then cry so someone else will hand it back and fix it and make it all better.
