Trump says White House to release letter about Democrats' Russia memo

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump said on Friday the White House would soon release a letter regarding a classified document crafted by Democrats to refute a Republican memo that alleged FBI bias against Trump in its Russia probe.

Trump, speaking to reporters after an event in the Oval Office, did not provide any details on what the letter would say.

I thought the options were (1) do nothing, and let the memo be released as written; (2) refuse to let the memo be released, and (3) release a redacted version of the memo (which is probably what will happen).

Sending a letter merely serves to extend the deadline beyond the five days.

Have I missed something?

He first says that "it" will be released soon but then corrects himself and says a "letter" will be released soon. How much you want to bet the letter will just say the Dem Memo "totally vindicates" him?

11. It's pointless to try to go thru the WH to get the DEM side of facts released.

The WH and Trump and the House of Rep Republicans cannot be worked with.

Present the Dem side of an issue to the WH...but don't expect the WH to release it. I mean, get real! This is the most partisan of Presidents, an authoritarian who does not believe in truth and reality. He doesn't care to to present facts, or the opposition's side. Most Presidents don't, but especially this one.

I didn't think this would be worth the effort. Only they can decide if it was worth the effort. But we will never see that Dem letter. Only the Republican letter and the White House versions.
