'Follow the money': Senator probes Trump's $95 million Palm Beach mansion sale
Source: ABC News
A leading Senate Democrat has called on the Treasury Department to turn over banking and real estate records related to Donald Trumps 2008 sale of a six-acre Palm Beach estate to a Russian billionaire a real estate flip that yielded Trump $95 million after paying $41 million for the property just four years earlier.
It is imperative that Congress follow the money and conduct a thorough investigation into any potential money laundering or other illicit financial dealings between the president, his associates, and Russia, wrote Sen. Ron Wyden, an Oregon Democrat who sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee that is investigating 2016 election meddling.
The transaction between Trump and Russian oligarch Dmitry Rybolovlev is being reviewed by Special Counsel Robert Muellers team, Wyden says in his letter, citing a report by Bloomberg News.
In a 2016 interview with ABCs George Stephanopoulos, Trump maintained that the real estate deal was one of the few deals he had ever done directly involving a Russian buyer.

(32,678 posts)Why bother to launder money through the casinos and make thousands, when you can easily make $ millions in real estate? Trump has been doing this shady stuff for a long time, with Russians, Arabs, the Mafia, and other people that nobody else will do business with.
Thanks America for voting for this asshole!

(5,732 posts)I think that his primary function, in his effort to aid the Russians, is to keep the focus on himself and off of the Russians. I think they own him and are playing him like a fiddle. I think he is in debt to them and they have the dirt on him.
I think they have committed several acts of war against the US and Trump's collusion and and gross obstruction of justice are acts of treason.
And I think that Robert Mueller is connecting the dots.
Just my opinion.
