As his White House has become engulfed in controversy over its handling of allegations of spousal abuse leveled against former Staff Secretary Rob Porter, President Donald Trump has privately questioned the credibility of the accusers. In fact, the president has gone as far as to express doubts to aides and friends about the assault allegations, and has asked repeatedly if there are any reasons Porters two ex-wives could have to make up such claims, according to three sources with direct knowledge of the conversations.
Trumps skepticism has been apparent in discussions with confidants and officials, who tell The Daily Beast that, at least in their conversations, he has not expressed sympathy for the ex-wives, Colbie Holderness and Jennifer Willoughby, who have gone on the record to allege physical violence.
[It is] 100% not what's on his mind, one source close to Trump who has spoken with the president in recent days told The Daily Beast, referring to the well-being of alleged victims. The White House press office did not respond to a request for comment on this story.
Trump has, however, made clear his displeasure with how his own staff has handled the Porter scandal, multiple sources tell The Daily Beast. Among those whom the president believes have done a less-than-adequate job include Communications Director Hope Hicks, who has been dating Porter, and Chief of Staff John Kelly. According to a Friday report from ABC News, the latter told Trump he would resign over his handling of the Porter scandal if the president asked him to. The White House denies that Kelly offered his resignation.

(37,648 posts)Of course he does. Did we have any doubts? I mean, look at his own history, & his support of Roy Moore.
If there is EVER an inappropriate, unethical, or shockingly horrifying response to anything, you can count on Trump to do it.

(24,311 posts)do you really think those two women would lie to the FBI (a felony) just to make their ex look bad? They would have harmed him more by going to the National Enquirer. And no felony.
I wonder how many of the women you abused have testified under oath to Mueller's investigation or to a Grand Jury? Think about that one, Donny.

Donald tRump has SAID he's innocent. Case closed, scandal over, RIGHT??!? Move on, and be sure to clap for our Dear Leader!
Rob Porter says he's an innocent victim in all this--of COURSE he is! I mean, face the FACTS, it's CLEARLY his ex-wives who are at fault. If Colbie Holderness had not VIOLENTLY forced her face in to the path of Porter's fist, she would never have gotten that black eye. And if she hadn't ANGRILY placed her neck between his hands--in a moment of prayer, I am SURE--then he would never have choked her. So OBVIOUSLY, it's all her fault, and it's almost certainly the same for Jennifer Willoughby.
Some women just CANNOT stop themselves when it comes to violently abusing men.

(1,822 posts)that always sides with those in power and looks down on the little guy. plain and simple, no matter the situation, he always looks down on people who arent in a similar position as him, so these people clearly are lying to bring down this man of charecter that is in his WH.
