CNN Exclusive: At least 100 White House officials served with 'interim' security clearances until No

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN)Nearly a year into President Donald Trump's administration, senior-level staffers -- including Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and Rob Porter -- remained on interim clearances even as other senior advisers were granted full security access, according to information obtained by CNN from a US government official.

Having interim clearance can hamper a staffer's ability to perform essential functions of the job, a former administration official said. It requires those with full permanent clearances to remain vigilant about what information is shared with those still operating on an interim basis.

There were more than 100 staffers in the Executive Office of the President who were operating on interim clearances more than a year after Trump was elected, according to the information.

It's not clear which of those staffers gained full clearances in the three months since the information was produced in November. It is also unclear whether the delay is the result of a bureaucratic backlog or potential complications in the background of these aides.

so having so many staffers serving so long without having full clearances is unusual as FBI expedites for WH staff compared to other government positions. But people like Ivanka and Jared who were caught not disclosing conflicts of interest, foreign contacts and financial matters and who are under FBI investigation will never get full clearances.

A little annoyance like the law won't stop 45* from doing what the hell ever he wants.

But apparently it wasn’t a big concern for anyone.

I have a feeling that if anyone asks Sarah what’s the deal with her security clearance he or she will get a very ugly reply. Watch her curl her lips and and keep her head down as she rereads word for word what her official statement is. And she will be happy to tell you she has nothing further to add.

Nobody does righteous indignation like Sarah.

All those people who don't have one after more than a year, likely won't be getting one. They need to be gone, yesterday. Everyone on that list is dispensable. There is someone else available that is capable of doing each of their jobs, AND is capable of passing a background investigation. They may not be willing to take a loyalty oath to the Dotard, but then again, that was not required in the first place.

... and I know what a thorough process it is. It also requires random drug testing, a not too pleasant, but necessary, security provision. Can you imagine a drug testing monitor showing up in the Oval Office to collect The Dumpster's pee? Especially soon after one of his many nose sniffing exhibitions!

I seriously doubt this gang of thieves are vigilant about anything other than scheming for their own enrichment. They haven't shown any competence or concern about governing, properly or otherwise.
