Top intel official insists White House 'engaged' on Russian threat to midterms

Source: The Hill

BY MORGAN CHALFANT - 03/06/18 10:43 AM EST

Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats on Tuesday insisted that the White House is aware of and engaged on the issue of Russian threats to the 2018 midterm elections, amid fierce questioning from Democrats about what the Trump administration is doing to respond to potential threats.

“There is obviously concern about this ongoing effort by Russia to interfere in our elections,” Coats said in response to Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.). “The White House is well aware of that, as we all are. Agencies have been tasked to address this.”

At the same time, he acknowledged the administration has yet to put in place a “coherent strategy” to address Russian interference.

Coats’ testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee came one week after Cyber Command chief and NSA director Adm. Mike Rogers told the panel that he had not heard specific orders from Trump to disrupt Russian cyberattacks targeting upcoming elections.

he excluded russia from N.K. sanctions
russia chose the U.S.S.o.S.
the S.o.S. won't spend $120 million allocations to fight russian cyber-influence
JC, russia chose what's sitting in the W.H.

Every repk. top down, needs to be arrested now. for treason. If wilbur ross can say that the price of metal is a threat to the U.S., then somebody need to damn well name tripe and his henchman as traitors.

The teachers' strike in WV? Make it happen across the U.S. We are not russian citizens. They are not our government!

WTF does that even mean? So they are fixing to get ready to start thinking about what they need to do? Isn't that reassuring.

I'll believe it. Until then, the intel agency directors shouldn't waste their breath.
