Owner: United Airlines sends her dog to Japan instead of Kansas City

Source: KSHB

"His paperwork on his food said Japan so at that point they realized that's probably what happened and it got switched up somehow," Swindle said.

Swindle received a call from United Airlines early Wednesday morning, that Irgo was, in fact, in Japan.

Swindle said United Airlines told her that they're investigating how this happened, but they have offered her a theory.

"One thing they're thinking right now is that somehow at the pet resort in the Denver airport, when they got taken out of their kennels, to go potty--or whatever they do--they somehow got switched," Swindle said.

Left on Saturday, arrived JAX on the Monday, via 2 other stops. We were put up in a Hyatt outside DC on the Sunday night. Horrible!!!!

Never again.

one of the flights is delayed/overbooked and you miss a connection, or baggage gets sent to the wrong city, or bad weather in one of the cities.

It's happened to me enough that I change companies to avoid work travel.

I hate them, but they offer the most flights in/out of the airport near me accessible by public transportation (EWR).

Sometimes, you don't have a choice. Some of the places I work overseas are only served by United or United affiliates; that, or I'm obliged to use United because I'm on a federal research grant and have to use a US-flag carrier.

Too many mergers.

To be honest, my experiences with United have (overall) been about the same as with American and Delta.
