New poll hints that Ige's time as governor may be coming to a close

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - According to a new poll by the Star-Advertiser, Hawaii voters may be leaning towards electing a new governor.

Results of the survey were released Sunday. It asked potential voters who they would vote for if the election were held today.

The numbers show incumbent David Ige trailing Congresswoman Colleen Hanabusa by 20 percentage points in the Democratic Primary.

Former State Senator Clayton Hee trails both Hanabusa and Ige, garnering only 11 percent of the vote.
