Three top cable news networks cut away from Trump speech

Source: The HILL

.
The three top cable news networks all cut away from President Trump's speech in Ohio on Wednesday before it ended, prompting complaints from the White House.

The speech was set to focus on infrastructure but saw the president go off script to touch on other topics.

It started just after 2 p.m, but within 30 minutes of Trump taking the stage CNN and MSNBC cut away to discussions with analysts and to report other news. Fox News remained on the speech for about ten minutes longer, according to social media reports, before cutting away also.

Fox Business Network, which was also covering the speech, stayed with Trump for the duration of his remarks.

I can't stand to listen to him. I think the networks are starting to realize that people out here don't bother listening to Trump. Their ratings have to drop off when Trump is on air.

Nobody wants to listen to his BS again. We've heard it all before. I'm glad those channels cutaway, they should do it more often. When they show his speeches on the Nightly News, it's been edited down to 15 or 20 seconds. That's all the time is speeches deserve.

Give him wall to wall coverage when he opens his yap. They did that during the campaign and annoyed many of their faithful viewers. So I bet they see a significant drop in their viewers if they stay too long on his speeches. I was quite surprised and relieved to notice that MSNBC cut back to their panel in the studio and didn’t give him the floor for an hour of blather. I hope one day they will be okay with giving him no coverage. I am pretty sure no one except his die hard Base will notice his absence.

since they showed his entire speech right before a special election on a Sat a few weeks ago when he campaigned in PA for Saccone. It was sickening. They never did that for Obama. I don't feel like having to see and hear him go on and on about himself for weeks before the midterms while he is supposed to be campaigning for OTHER people. Ego + maniac = fucking moron

But they still replay his message every day , and play his lies along with lies from others in his administration and his press spokesperson. Why do they put anything he says on tv when its always lies? Media is enabling him by doing that. I turn the channel when he's coming on, period, no matter what show I am watching , then I don't turn back to that channel for awhile. The more they show him the less i watch their channel.

Even the reporter couldn't stand watching Fox long enough to verify the timing, and instead relied on social media. That's understandable enough.

The networks rarely stopped everything to broadcast Obama's speeches, even though his speeches actually announced real policy changes, actual initiatives started, etc.

Boycotts seem to work. Why not start letting cable/networks/radio know that covering *speeches* that are filled with lies, not once but during every speech by this F'n MORON will have each and everyone of us turning their channel off? The moron's ramblings are never policy speeches as the ORAL OFFICE claims they are campaign speeches to stir his demented base and play dates for The F'n MORON to go play amongst the deplorable lemmings who support him. He has no policies and not soul.
