President Donald Trump pushed back Saturday on reports Michael Cohen would "flip" on him, attacking the New York Times for "going out of their way" to try to destroy his relationship with his longtime personal attorney.
"Most people will flip if the Government lets them out of trouble, even if.... it means lying or making up stories," the president wrote on Twitter, apparently referencing this report. "Sorry, I dont see Michael doing that despite the horrible Witch Hunt and the dishonest media!"
Federal agents raided Cohen's office and residences on April 10 as the government reportedly probes possible criminal violations in connection to Cohen's $130,000 payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 campaign.
"The New York Times and a third rate reporter named Maggie Habberman, known as a Crooked H flunkie who I dont speak to and have nothing to do with, are going out of their way to destroy Michael Cohen and his relationship with me in the hope that he will flip," the president wrote.

(22,183 posts)When RUMP said Cohen isn't going to flip, what was RUMP talking about? Cohen had multiple clients so how does RUMP know Cohen would possibly flip, and on RUMP?
Something is there, folks...

(32,833 posts)... that the stories of his "loyalty" to Trump are greatly exaggerated. For example Cohen is widely quoted as saying he'd "take a bullet" for Trump, etc. It's completely untrue and we'll quickly see how he really feels for his former boss.
I read an article (and if I can find the link I'll post it here) that Trump actually treated Cohen with contempt and made him do nasty stuff his regular lawyers wouldn't touch. The hush money for the many women would be one example. Cohen didn't really act as an attorney, he was just a "fixer" in the mob sense. For that reason he shouldn't even claim attorney-client privilege. Trump had a such a low opinion of Cohen that he wasn't allowed to represent him in court.
So Cohen has no reason to be loyal, or go to prison for 20 or 30 years for this guy.
