Five people were wounded in a shooting at a football game in the Fair Park neighborhood of Dallas Sunday night, police say.

The shooting occured after "a disturbance broke out between unknown males" before 9:30 p.m. at the Juanita Craft Recreation Center, police said.

Witnesses told police a man walked to the field, got on a moped and drove into the middle of the field where he opened fire on the crowd, officials said. According to police, witnesses reported multiple people began shooting back at the gunman.

Of the five wounded, two women were listed in critical condition, police said. Another woman and two men had injuries not considered life threatening.

See, there’s no doubt unimpeded access to gun carrying rights for the general population guarantees that in open stadiums highly-trained cowboys will set things right against the intermingled shooter(s). s/

If this occurred as reported, this arm-every-possible-2nd A-champion was bound to happen. Nothing in public to me is more shocking to ponder than any number of heroes pulling guns out to save the day in a circus of people with attending chaotic confusion.

that the original shooter is one of the unidentified in the hospital. If not there were a lot of very bad shots from the good guys. All of this sure makes a person feel safe doesn't it? Jesus.

A pathetic display of our collective insanity. Next will be a call to heavily arm all football referees, coaches and cheerleaders.

It says in the article that several of the people in the crowd got their weapons and returned fire, apparently hitting the gunman (it's not clear, but implied, he was shot).

My comment is sarcastic. The fact that a gun battle makes the same point. Its stupid and dangerous to have so many guns on the streets blazing away like idiotic cowboys.

Five people were shot in the crossfire. A video posted on Facebook Live appeared to capture 30 seconds of gunfire and the chaos that it sparked on the field.

Two women were in critical condition and a woman and two men were in stable condition Monday morning, police said.

KDFW-TV (Channel 4) reported that a pregnant woman was among the injured. She was shot in the chest and critically wounded, but her baby was in good condition, KDFW reported.

The station said another victim was shot in the head and three other people were shot in the leg.

Police said they didn't have any suspects in custody as of Monday morning. Detectives were reviewing video of the shooting.

I thought it was odd, too. That they may be in the hospital and not yet in custody crossed my mind, but I think you can technically be in custody while in the hospital.

to determine who shot who, and if it was legal for each shooter to do so. And, multiple court cases to follow all that.

(more snips from KDFW)

Witnesses told police a man drove into the middle of the field on a moped and opened fire on the crowd. Others began shooting towards that shooter on the moped. "We were getting ready to leave and they were about to fight. We stopped to look back. They started shooting from every angle. We got on the ground in the middle of the field and they were just shooting for like a good two minutes," said one witness....

In the hail of bullets, five people were injured including a pregnant woman..... At this point, police said it’s unclear whether any of the victims were deliberately targeted or simply caught in the crossfire. The motive for the shooting is also still unclear.

Those responsible for the shooting are still at large. Police have been talking to witnesses and reviewing video that people recorded with their cellphones to try to identify the suspects.

It suggests the whole thing started as an altercation between a couple of hot-heads, then went onto the field.

Soooo much winning........

A shoot-out always ends well....NOT!

Yeah gubs & gub owners....lets put everyone's life at risk

I hope the pregnant woman survives and is OK!...I hope they ALL are OK but I would hate for that child to grow up without a mother.
