Poll: GOP Backs Trump's Putin Press Conference

Source: MSN/Newsweek

Republicans overwhelmingly approved of President Donald Trump’s handling of his press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin despite the reactions from top GOP lawmakers and some in the conservative establishment, according to a new poll released Thursday.

Trump’s approval among Republicans has remained strong since he entered office and the Axios and Survey Monkey poll indicated there was very little the president could do wrong in the eyes of Republicans, even while Trump wavers on Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.

Seventy-nine percent of Republicans approved of Trump's performance alongside Putin, while 91 percent of Democrats and 62 percent of independents disapproved.

Overall, Trump received 58 percent disapproval and 40 percent approval, though both figures were clearly skewed by the deep partisan divide that often accompanies Trump.

Well, why not? They back putin's poodle trump so why not go where they feel at home with like minded folks. Heaven knows there is an awful lot of room in Russia for them to enjoy being under the jack boot of a KGB officer now dictator of the Russian peasants. Then they can install their Mancheron candidate into any office putin agrees to. Most importantly, let us who cherish a true democratic system enjoy the fruits of our labor.

I'd gladly pay $1 to support towards the trip of one Trumpian who wishes to immigrate to the newly formed USSR.

And thankfully, tRump's numbers stay the same while the rest of the country solidifies against him.

That performance was NOT a subjective disaster, it was the single worst performance by ANY American President since the invention of television.

That was worse than Ford falling down, or H.W. Bush throwing up, or W. Bush dodging shoes, or Obama on his worst day while heavily medicated and semi-comatose.

There is simply NO WAY to view Trump's capitulation to Putin as anything other than a mock-America moment for anyone with beef against this country.

I am serious, the people who truly believe Trump kicked ass Monday are in need of being fleeced of every cent they have, because someone is going to take it from them...might as well be sooner than later...

40% approval of that treasonous trainwreck means it didn't move the needle off his regular approval number according to 538 more than 1%.
