Giuliani tries to clarify 'truth isn't truth' comment

Source: CNN

Rudy Giuliani on Monday attempted to clarify his weekend remark that "truth isn't truth" as part of his explanation for why he doesn't believe that President Donald Trump should testify with special counsel Robert Mueller.

"My statement was not meant as a pontification on moral theology but one referring to the situation where two people make precisely contradictory statements, the classic 'he said, she said' puzzle. Sometimes further inquiry can reveal the truth other times it doesn't," tweeted Giuliani, a lawyer for Trump in the Russia investigation.

Giuliani's tweet came less than 24 hours after he sparred with NBC's "Meet the Press" anchor Chuck Todd over the meaning of "truth." "When you tell me that, you know, he should testify because he's going to tell the truth and he shouldn't worry, well, that's so silly because it's somebody's version of the truth. Not the truth," Giuliani said Sunday.

"Truth is truth," Todd replied.

know when to just stfu.

Using big words - pontification, moral, theology - doesn't really help your case..

It's really quite simple.

Something happened. Under oath, ten people say it happened. Their stories are consistent. A reasonable person would call that "the truth."

Under oath, one person says something else happened. Nobody confirms that version of events. A reasonable person would call that a lie.

Full stop.

This is not a "perjury trap." It's not a trick. It's what we call reality.

So, STFU.

NO legitimate News Source should provide a Noun a Verb a 9-1-1- / aka Ghouliani a platform.

His words are not legit. He's a propagandist. Nothing more, and nothing less.

NOTHING is learned and he serves as a distraction.

Dear Media -

Stop interviewing him, and Trump will make him go away. Let him tweet to his hearts desire and appear on Fox and that's it.

What he meant was:

Truth are lies and Lies are truth.

It's simple.
He needs to bone up on his Orwell.
