A new independent poll shows former Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen has a slight lead over U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn in Tennessee's U.S. Senate race, which still remains a toss up.

The poll, from NBC News and the New York-based Marist College, found 48 percent of likely voters surveyed backed Bredesen, compared to 46 percent for the Republican congressman. Five percent were undecided.

Bredesen's lead remains within the survey's margin of error of plus or minus 5.1 percentage points.

Yeah, she probably is benefiting from being a women in a cycle favoring women, but she also is such a long standing wingnut, that is why this is a race in a state like this, even with strong democratic headwinds, if they would have nominated a middle of the road, COB type, he or she would probably be sitting at 51-46.

That said, it is winnable, and like Alabama, gotta take advantage of that.

especially since Trump won some critical blue states. We have a good shot at winning this. Bredesen won all 95 counties when he ran for Governor

on dirty, dishonest, anti-Bredesen attack ads.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.tennessean.com/amp/1127316002

"The conservative political arm of the Koch network is launching a $2 million ad buy against former Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen, signaling a major investment by the group in Tennessee’s U.S. Senate race this fall.
.....
While the ad charges that Bredesen supported “higher gas taxes, sales taxes and more,” neither the state’s sales tax nor gas tax increased during his tenure."...(more at link)
------------
Bredesen has a great shot at filling Bob Corker's vacant seat and keeping scumbag Marsha Blackburn out of the U.S. Senate. The Kochs and their ilk know this, which is why they are spending millions and lying about Bredesen's record. Please consider sending a donation to his campaign if you can afford it....flipping this seat and turning the Senate blue would help everyone, not just thge people of Tennessee!
