Barney Frank: Mitt Romney on every side of all issues

Source: politico

KEVIN ROBILLARD | 9/4/12 2:06 PM EDT

Veteran Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank said GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s positions should come with “expiration dates,” and said Romney’s current stances are only good until “2013 or ‘14.”

“Mitt Romney, he was a businessman,” Frank said on CNN. “He brings certain business techniques to government. One of them is the notion of an expiration date on the product. When Mitt Romney takes a position, it’s good only until a certain point, and you should be told: ‘Don’t buy this after April of 2013 or ‘14.’ I don’t know how anyone can say otherwise. He has been on every side of every important issue in American history since he’s been around.”

The voluble Frank, who is retiring at the end of this Congress, is speaking at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte this week and is expected to sharply criticize Romney’s record as governor of the Bay State. During Tuesday’s interview, he chastised Romney for backing away from the universal health care law he crafted and signed as governor.

“The ironic thing here is that if you look at his record as governor of Massachusetts, the only thing that stands out is the health care bill,” Frank said. “He’s not just trying to repudiate his accomplishment. He’s trying to repudiate his only accomplishment.”

Awhile back Romney and his surrogates had 4 changes of position in 2 days on one issue. And that doesn't even factor in Sununu speaking for Romney.

First, I will laugh.

Second, cry and think hard about Canada.

Third, laugh again, when America opens the carton and finds the milk sour!

Lastly, laugh AGAIN, when I point out that there are NO refunds.

Shop carefully America.

especially when you have to appear extreme for your primary electorate and moderate for the general electorate.
