Scott Beierle, gunman in Tallahassee yoga studio shooting, had history of arrests for grabbing women

Source: Tallahassee Democrat

The gunman who shot and killed two people and wounded at least five others before killing himself Friday had a history of arrests for grabbing women, according to Leon County court records.

Scott Paul Beierle, 40, was arrested in 2012 on a charge of misdemeanor battery after allegedly grabbing the buttocks of two women on the campus of Florida State University, according to Leon County court records. He was arrested again in 2016 on a battery charge after allegedly slapping and grabbing another women’s rear end by the swimming pool at the West Tennessee Street apartment complex where he lived.

The State Attorney’s Office filed information in both cases. However, prosecutors eventually dropped the charges.

FSU police were called to the Suwannee Room, a popular campus dining hall, on Dec. 7, 2012, after getting a report of a man inappropriately touching female patrons. Both women gave statements to police and said they wished to pursue charges.

Their racism, their hatred of women, their greed, their violence have all risen to the top, and they can't deny it any longer. One has to believe these dominant traits have been right there in the right-wingers from the first.

Trump wants to rescind the citizenship of naturalized citizens if they’ve benn arrested for anything at all (even if found innocent), but it’s okay for those who are insane or violent or guilty of domestic abuse, to have a gun for any reason, including those with prior arrests. We are turning into a hellhole where it isn’t safe to be in a public space, including the grocery store or church. How can people not see the damage that this insane gun worship is causing!

From the article: "In both of the cases, prosecutors ultimately dropped the charges."

Without an indictment or conviction, the law is quite clear.

Back in the day, the requirement was "of good moral character". How is that defined, consistently and equitably? Legislatures found that it either couldn't be or wasn't so laws were enacted shifting the definition from subjective to objective.

Scott Beierle killed two women at a Florida yoga studio on Friday night. He had posted a series of misogynistic videos and songs online, and appeared to identify as an “involuntarily celibate." This is the second deadly attack by an “involuntarily celibate” in 2018.

The man who shot dead two women at a yoga studio in Tallahassee, Florida, on Friday before killing himself was a far-right extremist and self-proclaimed misogynist who railed against women, black people, and immigrants in a series of online videos and songs.

Scott Beierle, 40, was named by Tallahassee Police as the gunman who opened fire inside the Hot Yoga Tallahassee studio, killing two and injuring four other women and a man.

Those killed were named as Dr. Nancy Van Vessem, 61, who worked at Florida State University's College of Medicine, and FSU student Maura Binkley, 21.

On a YouTube channel in 2014, Beierle filmed several videos of himself offering extremely racist and misogynistic opinions in which he called women “sluts” and “whores,” and lamented “the collective treachery” of girls he went to high school with.

I know plenty of drop-dead gorgeous women who have husbands far less attractive than him physically.

But it's clear his personality made him the ugliest, most undateable fucker in the room. Maybe if he would have figured out that good women care about who you are inside as well as outside, he wouldn't have been a goddamn incel.

One look at that sneer on his creepy mug would send most people heading for the exits. No one but a fellow sociopath would consider even standing and talking to him.

How can anyone view the object of their potential interest as a gumball machine? You put in the coin, (or dinner, or even manage to smile) and the victim is supposed to hand over "the treats" to you. They owe you, so they must pay you in the action of your choice!

It looks as if something may be missing in his developement!

I am so glad you wrote your post exactly as you did. It addresses the subject perfectly. Thank you.
