Fox News and Fox Business will no longer air the President Donald Trump-approved campaign ad that many have decried as racist, according to a network executive.
Upon further review, Fox News pulled the ad yesterday and it will not appear on either Fox News Channel or Fox Business Network, said ad sales president Marianne Gambelli in a statement to Mediaite.
NBC drew outrage after the network aired Trumps ad during Sunday Night Football.
The 30-second spot, a version of which Trump tweeted out last week to much outrage, warned of a 7,000-migrant caravan approaching the U.S. border with Mexico. It also featured Luis Bracamontes, an undocumented immigrant convicted of murdering two sheriffs deputies in 2014, falsely claiming that Democrats let him into our country.

(30,613 posts)Either they're expecting a ginormous blue tsunami, and ensuing criminal investigations of many of their own staff, or their ratings are finally slipping.

(20,998 posts)Is this another case of a media outlet pulling the plug at an all-too-convenient time? If they believed the add was truly racist -and it was, I saw it on MSNBC- then why run it at all?

(7,142 posts)it's a freaking lie. Where is an NBC reporter asking sheriff Joe why he let this guy out of jail? Someone needs to ask the question.

(32,634 posts)We have to let the media outlets (NBC, Fox, CNN, etc.) know what we're angry about, and what makes us turn the channel. When they hear from enough of us, they get it. They'll finally do something.
But when nobody complains, they just keep on showing the same crap and worse. Like the old Frankenstein movies, we have to be the villagers with the pitchforks and torches.

(128,906 posts)now with the "pulling of it", that alone generates more buzz so people who normally wouldn't have seen it, may try to go seek it out.
The election is tomorrow so it doesn't matter anyway. Damage done.

Have they bought into all that nonsense about ratings being down because the cult members had a sad over the anthem?
That's already been completely disproven, but a major network didn't know that?
