They had better get their damn moral compass fixed. They had better stop being the party of hatred and bigotry and corruption and lies.

For insuring that no Republican will be elected to statewide office in CA ever again. Now, we are seeing that trickle down into congressional seats and State assembly and Senate.

Trump will do exactly the same thing for the rest of the country.

3. Overreaching Statement

But I'll say it anyway. Reagan/Orange County represents everything that was wrong with America beginning in the 1970s. Republicans exploited Orange County, rode to national prominence on the Reagan deception, and tried to bring a duplicate model of exploitation to all of America.

Trickle-down, no-tax Reaganomics is a total failure. And now in the place of its birth---Orange County---GOP policies have been totally rejected.

Ground-zero for our current problems has been liberated from GOP tyranny.

10. Don't Stop!
Sat Nov 17, 2018, 11:13 AM
Nov 2018

What ever we do from here on, we can't take our foot off the pedal. We need to stop playing nice and forget what the the blue dog dogma of the past 20 years and Democrats for Ronnie did since the 70s. We can't let anyone, and especially the media, forget what got us here. and why we're here now.

We're sick and tired of the Right Wing Republican and Evangelical BS and make damn sure "We're not gonna take it anymore!"

11. We need to start teaching the truth about capitalism vs socialism
Sat Nov 17, 2018, 11:43 AM
Nov 2018

Marx wrote long ago that unfettered monopolistic capitalism would eat everything in sight. Since I was a kid in grade school (I'm 71) I was repeatedly taught that capitalism was the best economic system imaginable. That socialism was a sneaky way for communism to sneak in the back door. Socialism was equated with communism-lite. Labor unions were evil and run by the mobs.

I was never taught that tax funding for roads, public schools, health inspectors, building inspectors, food inspectors, roads and bridges, fire and police depts were socialism. It wasn't until I got to college that I learned what a "mixed economy" was.

Republicans have been beating the drum that regulations harm business. But who wants to eat meat from a slaughter house that never comes under he scrutiny of a food inspector? Or stay in a hotel with no fire sprinklers? We need tom get high school kids to ldearn about Ida Tarbell.

13. The GOP has certainly lost its way.
Sat Nov 17, 2018, 01:44 PM

It can no longer govern, it can only fight against the Dems. The GOP has held Congress for 8 years and what have they accomplished? Under Obama they fought tooth and nail to prevent Obama for getting anything passed, refused him his Supreme Court nomination, and did everything in their power to be a do-nothing Congress. When tRump was elected they STILL did nothing (except pass a devastating so-called 'tax cut', which actually raised taxes on everyone but the uber-wealthy). They allowed tRump to govern by fiat and and totally ignored the Dems. The GOP only knows how to be the opposition party, the party of hate and divisiveness.

Now they can go back to being the minority party in the House, while holding the Senate until a few more Red states begin to see that the GOP is not their friend, which is already beginning to happen in the Red states affected by tRump's ridiculous tariffs,

The GOP may be in its death throes, it will be generations of hard work by the Dems and whatever replaces the GOP to restore America.
