Wealthy Republicans lose faith in Trump, as nearly 40% say they wouldn't vote to re-elect him: CNBC

Source: CNBC

The 2020 race for the White House is just barely under way, but the latest CNBC Millionaire Survey shows some troubling signs for the incumbent President Donald Trump, including an energized base of wealthy Democrats and unsteady support from wealthy Republicans.

Just 34 percent of America's millionaires say they would vote to re-elect President Trump if the election were held today. Among Republicans, Trump has lost more than one-third of wealthy voters, with only 62 percent of Republican millionaires saying they would vote for the president if the election were held today. Thirty-six percent of the overall vote was scattered among 10 different possible Democratic nominees, while 22 percent went to other Republicans.

The semiannual CNBC Millionaire Survey, conducted Nov. 7 through Nov. 19 by Spectrem Group, is representative of the affluent population in the United States. The survey analyzes the investment attitudes and behaviors of 750 investors with $1 million or more of investable assets. Respondents are required to be the financial decision-maker, or share jointly in financial decision-making within the household.

Twenty percent of respondents, including 18 percent of Republican millionaires, think President Donald Trump won't even be the Republican nominee for president in 2020. Eight percent believe outgoing Ohio Governor John Kasich will be the nominee, while 7 percent think it will be Vice President Mike Pence.

Rich Republicans don't mind racism, misogyny, abusing immigrant children, corruption or incompetence, but don't mess with their investments.

The "base" doesn't really count because money is the main thing. Without the huge money to keep the propaganda machine going they couldn't elect a dogcatcher. The rest of the herd doesn't really matter. If they can sell Trump they can sell anything.

There has been one legislative achievement, and it was for them. For his darling class mates. They've been binging on it for more than a year. They didn't complain then! And this is how they repay him? Damned Manhattan. They still hate him, the Little Mobster from Queens Who Could.

It is estimated that between 15 and 20 percent of the European-American population of the colonies were Loyalists .. and supported King George III.

Come on! Are they really that stupid to have had faith on this guy? How many of them would have engaged in business with the con? Lets be real...maybe they had faith that he would destroy regulations, the economy, to allow the wealthy people to buy a lot of foreclosed real estate, to make sure the states would not pass $15.00/hour pay, and other evil ideas that would put more money in their banks while destroying the middle and lower classes.

They did get the tax cuts, and that is not enough?

I am baffled by the mentality of treason of so many people...and I do call it treason because if you don't give a crap about your country, and all you care about is to get richer, then you are a traitor. If you don't care about climate change, knowing that it is a problem, but are more concerned with the money you are making and continue making even if it means you are going to leave an almost uninhabitable earth to your kids and future generations then you are a traitor, you don't care about your family, you don't care about your people...why is this treasonous mentality so wide spread?

For those who think this people are worried about their legacy? They are not, all they are worried about is being rich, they won't care when they are dead what people will say about them, they won't care what they leave behind for their families, it is just a huge club of narcissistic assholes.

that those 62% of million/billion-aires + were bought by Trump's windfall tax cut. Any thinking person would have bailed on him long ago.
