New Jersey AG has obtained evidence of possible crimes at Trump's golf club -- and Mueller, FBI are i

Source: San Diego Union-Tribune

New Jersey prosecutors have collected evidence that supervisors at President Trump’s Garden State golf club may have committed federal immigration crimes — and the FBI as well as special counsel Robert Mueller have played part in the inquiry, the Daily News has learned.

Anibal Romero, a Newark attorney who represents several undocumented immigrants who used to work at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, said Friday he recently met with investigators from the state attorney general’s office and handed over fraudulent green cards and Social Security numbers that management at the club allegedly procured and gave his clients, Victorina Morales and Sandra Diaz.

Before he met with the state prosecutors, Romero said he reached out to Mueller’s office because, while he wanted to contact federal authorities, he was concerned about looping in the Justice Department, which was headed by Jeff Sessions at the time.

A few weeks later, an FBI agent in New Jersey called Romero. “He said to me that he had received a referral from Robert Mueller’s office and that he already knew the specifics and that he wanted to meet with me in person,” Romero said. Romero then met with two agents at a federal office in Branchburg, N.J., and outlined the same evidence he had already given the AG prosecutors. The agents said they would “coordinate” with the AG’s office, according to Romero.

It is the type of incident that is used in RICO charges. It is likely part of a pattern of similar activities at all of his clubs. Only a few people run all of trumps clubs, and they are mostly named trump. Those with other names can be flipped.

This is a corrupt criminal enterprise. There are a lot of individual crimes that seem small and unrelated until you step back and look at the connections between them.

it's something else to deliberately provide them with falsified documents to assist them. The latter seems like the kind of thing that would leave a paper trail to someone in the organisation.

to get an indictment let alone a conviction.
No, the odds are unless he was a total idiot at the time that he has enough firewalls in place to lay all the blame on the people who he hired to personally avoid any criminal charges.

Possibly they could prove that he was pressured into illegal acts to maintain his job. Trump is slippery and a master crook who has been scamming people, including those who should have prosecuted him for numerous scams.

he knew nothing. Still this is going to sting if it gets pushed into the M$M.

Lou Dobbs used to rail about illegal immigrants (still does) but he took a big hit when people discovered that his daughter was employing undocumented workers to tend her horses.

This can be combined with all of the legal immigrants he hires as well as the immigrants hired at the vineyard in Va.

It seems to me that this can be pushed into a narrative that Trump loves immigrants because he doesn't have to pay them as much as American workers.

This is the type of issue that can ding Trump.

If this issue changes the narrative away from the wall to Trump hiring undocumented workers, he's in trouble with his base.

of blatant hypocrisy. The work done by these fine people has been kept hidden in plain sight for decades, and now many Americans are turning on them. Our survival and prosperity has depended on them in thousands of ways and they can't be displaced and replaced overnight - if ever.

Are all those MAGAts lining up to take their jobs cleaning motel rooms, working on farms and slaughter house, doing common labor construction work and cooking our restaurant food? No.

Our collective sin is not pushing our politicians hard for immigration reform, as it's been tossed around in Congress like a hot potato for as long as I can remember. Why have they passed the buck for so long? It's because virtually every one of them benefit from contributions from businesses that use undocumented labor.

Trump and others such as Devin Nunes are but symptoms of this disease and they are the worst of our hypocrites for demonizing migrants for political gain at the same time their family businesses thrive because of them.

Rant over.............

The Feds, and possibly the State, can seek RICO charges naming the country club as a criminal enterprise. The penalties for that include, IIRC, shutting down, seizing and/or selling off as proceeds of a criminal enterprise. And I know we all are certain that he uses the same hiring practices at all his country clubs, golf courses, hotels, etc. (excepting possibly the ones in the UK).
