Top Mueller Prosecutor Stepping Down In Latest Clue Russia Inquiry May Be Ending

One of the most prominent members of special counsel Robert Mueller's team investigating Russia's attack on the 2016 presidential election will soon leave the office and the Justice Department, two sources close to the matter tell NPR.
Andrew Weissmann, the architect of the case against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, will study and teach at New York University and work on a variety of public service projects, including his longstanding interest in preventing wrongful convictions by shoring up forensic science standards used in courts, the sources added.
The departure is the strongest sign yet that Mueller and his team have all but concluded their work.
Manafort has been sentenced to about 7 1/2 years in federal prison following two cases that stemmed from Mueller's investigation, although neither case involved alleged collusion with the Russians who interfered in the election.

Others who have left, according to the article, include the senior-most FBI agent working on the Mueller probe, Special Agent In Charge David Archey, who is now heading the FBI's office in Richmond, Va. Also, another special counsel prosecutor, Brandon Van Grack, left to take another job with the Justice Department dealing with enforcement of the FARA act. And NPR reports that WilmerHale, the private law firm that formerly employed Mueller and other members of his team, is preparing for the return of some of its lawyers.

it's been a steady parade of - "You know it's about to end ya know, you know it's about to end. By the end of the week, you know it's about to end, maybe by the end of the weekend. You know it's about to end you know..."
DUH.
Yes this is NOT going to be a never-ending story. There will be an end at some point when they are done or if someone from above decides it's time to obstruct justice and suddenly cuts them off out of the blue. I expect that with all those investigators/lawyers on the team, they were each given a chunk of this affair to handle and once they completed their specific assignments, they were DONE and are moving on. In the meantime, the rest of the folks are still working on their parts.
