In his latest interview with Fox Business, President Donald Trump tore into several high-profile figures from the Justice Department while promising that “people will not stand for it” if Robert Mueller‘s report doesn’t come out in his favor.

Maria Bartiromo asked Trump about the special counsel amid recent indications that Mueller is about to submit his findings to Attorney General William Barr. This prompted Trump to boast about his election victory before he shifted gears to rail against former AG Jeff Sessions and Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein.

“A deputy who didn’t get any votes appoints a man who didn’t get any votes, he’s gonna write a report on me,” Trump fumed. “Because we have an attorney general who nobody can believe, he didn’t tell me, but he rescued himself.”

Trump continued by saying “people will not stand for it” if Mueller’s report makes a determination on his presidency before slamming the Russia “hoax” some more.

Trump Fumes and Calls Fox’s Maria Bartiromo ‘Fake News’ for Grilling Him on McCain Attacks

President Donald Trump grew angry during an interview with Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo on Friday as she repeatedly pressed him over his renewed attacks on John McCain.

Bartiromo asked Trump why he’s renewing his feud with the Republican senator more than six months after his death. Trump claimed that he only talks about McCain because “you just brought it up, you asked the question,” even though most his slams on McCain from the past week have come from himself.

As Bartiromo asked Trump if he feels any responsibility to bring the country together, Trump claimed that he has and that “a big portion of this nation is united like it’s never been united before.” When she noted that Trump doesn’t unite the country with how he talks about McCain, he claimed once again that his attacks only come up because of outside prompts, and then he called Bartiromo “fake news.”

“You shouldn’t have brought it up,” Trump said, visibly agitated. “Actually, I thought you weren’t supposed to bring it up, but that’s okay, Fake news every once in a while.”

“It’s not fake news,” Bartiromo pushed back. “You just told me why you have an issue with him.”

When Bartiromo closed out that section of the interview, she said, “for the record, there were no conditions or stipulations agreed to ahead of the interview.”

I want to make one thing clear. The polarization is 99.9% attributable to the hated radio that is broadcast daily but the cabal that owns over 1000 stations with an additional 39 TV stations. I work in radio. The problem is that the right wing radio programming basis it's content on fear which is a powerful emotion. Our research has shown that this fear is what drives their listeners to come back daily. Left-wing radio is never quite as enticing because we simply don't engage in that fear type programming. AKA Air America, Hartmann, Schultz (when he had a radio show.)

My owner is pretty liberal. But he is a business guy. he isn't going to put a format on that loses money. That is never a good idea and frankly it isn't going to move the needle much.

Just as how Reagan did away with the Fairness Doctrine and allowed the multiple ownership of stations, just why can't these regulations be reinstated? It is the law that the airwaves belong to the citizens and that those who are granted a license must provide constructive content that is beneficial to the citizens. Perhaps it has been the unwillingness of our representatives possibly due to quid pro quo with the ownership to shut up and not make waves. Seems to me that the primary and perhaps only function of our representatives is to get reelected. Consequently everything is judged in how it will affect their campaign and most importantly donations.

Yes you would have to break up the current companies. But that won't change the right wing talk radio scenario. The content provided via network radio is cheap and easy to get. Even locally owned stations today carry that programming because it is cheap. A radio station doesn't have to carry equal political type talk on the left and right. That was never a part of the fairness doctrine. Plus how do you police that anyway?

The only way get it more fair is to create compelling content on the left that people will listen to (ratings) and that advertisers will buy (sales.) Unless you have those two things it won't be on the radio.
