Trump U-turns on NHS trade comments, saying 'I don't see it being on the table'

Source: The Independent

Donald Trump appears to have performed an abrupt U-turn on his comments that the NHS would be “on the table” in post-Brexit trade talks.

The US president sparked an almighty row when he said that the “NHS or anything else, a lot more than that” would be in the sights of US firms in any deal.

But later on Tuesday he directly contradicted himself, saying instead that “I don’t see it being on the table”.

Someone had a word in his shell like last night, no doubt. I think that the roll back will not be sufficient though. His original comment will be used over and over by remainers...

He will make some huge disruptive pronouncement, then say the opposite a day later (along with "I never said that!&quot . No one can rely on anything he says. I don't know how any foreign leader can make any sense of what he says or does. Everything is so careless and meaningless, with a side of vicious bullying.

He was just faking it.
I think he is really stupid. All of his adult life he has avoided anything except the real estate business, getting laid and creating an image.

him to threaten their schemes by going to London and babbling about it.

Yeah, he's unbelievably stupid. His pathological ignorance and personality disorder guarantee that.

and how much NHS means to the people of GB.

He probably thought it was regarded by people there the way that HE regards 'Obamacare'.

That's if he even grasped what 'National Health Service' WAS ... when Theresa May hinted to him what NHS stood for on the podium.

I mean, it's obvious that IQ45 is just a big fan of saying 'it's all on the table' whenever 'negotiations' are discussed. Makes him feel like he's a big ol' MAN, doing his BIGTIME DEALS, where it's 'all on the table' ...

He's such a f***ing asshat.

The whole point of Brexit is to isolate Britain from the rest of the world so that all the country's institutions can be privatized.

Of health issues from this corrupt con man, say dementia? He's so old he can't keep up with his statements , and often says the opposite sometimes within minutes. He's too old , corrupt, and ill to be in his position.

His dramatic flaming statements are designed to tickle the fancy of the extreme Right and to grab headlines so that the press can’t focus on Impeachment and Election Scandals. War on Iran? Oh that was SO last week! Now Pompeo wants to meet with Iran without conditions. What a joke they are! But the press goes along.

There are a lot of older folks who rely on the NHS completely and who voted for Brexit. A US trade deal would not be nearly as important if we stayed in the EU - ergo....

The problem Johnson has is that he has already pledged a no deal Brexit if a deal cannot be reached by October - that will be linked very clearly by everyone to Trumps comments on the NHS....

It is a conundrum for him, that is for sure.

The over load of information, entertainment, news, views, pics, flixs, etc., etc., has become a tidal wave of enormous proportions.
We need to turn it off. Just stop for a day at least. If he is no longer taken seriously the balloon will deflate. Nothing he utters matters. He is spewing words that have no substance. His only purpose is to capture our attention and distract us from our lives.
It is like the collective consciousness of the internet has manifested in corporate form and it is called Donald.
Soon we will have the opportunity to gather together and turn the channel off.
