ICE Raids to Round Up Immigrants Across Major Cities to Start This Weekend: Reports

Multiple outlets appear to be confirming reports that ICE is planning a massive effort to take into custody those undocumented and illegal migrants across nearly a dozen cities.

Writing for The Washington Post, Nick Miroff reports:

President Trump has directed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to conduct a mass roundup of migrant families that have received deportation orders, an operation that is likely to begin with predawn raids in major U.S. cities on Sunday, according to three U.S. officials with knowledge of the plans.

The “family op,” as it is referred to at ICE and the Department of Homeland Security, is slated to target up to 2,000 families facing deportation orders in as many as 10 U.S. cities, including Houston, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles and other major immigration destinations, said the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the law enforcement operation.

The Miami Herald reports the cities as Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, Baltimore, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York City, and San Francisco.

What policing organizations do we know of that announce two days ahead of time their intention to conduct raids of any kind?

This has a parallel with the response to Iran's shooting down of one of our drones which has caused international political havoc. Nations with any leadership credibility do not react in a fast knee-jerk fashion to incidents that may lead to all-out war.

All for political show and the idea is to maximize the turmoil and head spinning around the globe to impress deplorables and gather in a few more votes. Also distracts Congress from their already overloaded work schedule.

Chaos and fear is tRump's game and he's doing harm to millions of innocent people in the process.....

16. I have lived in Colorado

for 44 years; I can tell you that immigrants have been the least of our worries and have contributed in every way to our communities, economy and political progress. Most families have lived here for years and their children are citizens. Denver is a blue city. New Orleans has very few immigrants but it too is a blue city. How ashamed I am of our nation and these horrifying actions and policies, especially our treatment of families at the border and the families who will be separated in these inhumane arrests.
