Russia has very deep pockets. Those pockets are bulging from the GOPER's that are lining them.

governments can secure their elections, and if people knew what they were, they could make demands of their state elected officials. I suppose the Brennan Center already has a study done, but I'm too damn lazy to look it up.

that's where most of the actual security fixes need to be made. Some states are working on it. But the states will need federal funding, and they aren't getting any.

Why?

Both Elkhart and St. Joseph County, which is a very blue county, got new voting machines. You get your ballot and insert it into the machine, then use the touchscreen to select your choices. When you're done, it spits the ballot back out with all the choices marked so you can review it.

Then, you insert your ballot into the counting machine and it gives you a message saying your vote has been counted, and the ballot falls into a lockbox that can be used in case of a recount.

Best part, the machines have no internet connection or capabilities, so they are 100 percent non-hackable.

Ironically, it was deep red Elkhart County that got the machines first, then St Joe followed.

Ever since they passed HAVA (help America vote act) we have seen a
red state shift in voting outcomes that does not match shifts in demographics
and a true reflections of societal wants.

Now they ask why do the exit polls not match the results when the right questions is why do the results not match the exit polls?

If the media stopped talking about 'meddling'...maybe people would start to get it. If you have a heart attack, there is often emergency surgery of some kind. This is more like that...not just another country poking its nose into another's affairs. I do think that democracy and the rule of law are on life support, and the Republicans are all to ready to flip the switch.

and step away from the comfort of our computers and fight back to reclaim our democracy. We are wrong to sit back and expect Mueller or Nancy Pelosi or anyone to save our democracy. People have forgotten that Democracy isn't easy and that me must fight to protect it. That responsibility falls on us. We must be honest with ourselves. We have become complacent. I am outraged every day by what is happening and I am fed up. I don't want to hear any more analysis or political commentary about what's happening in our country. We must rise up and march on Washington. Not separate marches in major cities but one day, one march, 10 million people in Washington with buckets of tar and feather. I have it. Today is the last straw.
