Mulvaney defends Trump in wake of El Paso, Dayton shootings
Source: Washington Post
Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney on Sunday defended President Trump after mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton, calling the shooters sick people and disputing that either shooting was linked to politics.
This is not appropriate. This is way beyond the pale. These are sick people, Mulvaney said on ABC Newss This Week.
Other Republicans, including Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.), blamed the shooting on video games and social media.
Their comments came as Democrats argued that Trumps inflammatory rhetoric about immigrants and people of color has fueled the type of hatred on display in a manifesto that investigators believe was posted online by the El Paso shooting suspect, which listed angry and, at times, jumbled motivations for the attack, including rants about a Hispanic invasion.

(13,595 posts)Twitter is "social media" and trump uses it incessantly to rile up his murderous "base."
Any trump "rally" is attended by certifiably "sick people."
But, no, "this is not appropriate," blathers one of his mouthpieces.

(11,519 posts)OK, Mulvaney admitted that 'sick people' have access to guns. When the fuck are GOPers going to stand up to the NRA and keep sick people from getting guns.

(951 posts)Why doesn't every country have a problem with mass shootings then? I love how they can always find some other excuse, even though easy access to millions of guns is the unique common thread between all American mass shootings...

(25,246 posts)How they can continue to circle the wagons around Trump and protect him is beyond me. I'm sure they see the hate he spews - yet they look the other way and make excuses for this racist traitor.
What's it going to take to make them abandon this guy.

(7,403 posts)I agree. What is coming off Mulvaney's lips is way beyond the pale. Needless to say, that applies to his boss as well.
It is a Russian money problem with NRA distribution. And it is a Twitter problem when they won't take down that account. Boycott Twitter now. We don't need terrorist inspiring communication tools coming out of the Whitehouse. Stop it now!

(9,426 posts)had a sign "Trump" spelled out in GUNS on his webpage. He is a follower of Don the Con. Mulvaney just wants to keep his job, he does not care for people anymore than his boss does. Remember he said "I would not want my son to look at Donald Trump as a role model" So, he turned himself into a tRump clone.

That's what's appropriate ... and then indicting and jailing ewvery fucking one of these evil, faux Christian assholes.
Video games and social media!! Repulsive ...

They all need to be tagged as racists and white supremacists. Maybe Trump can still get away with it, but NO ONE in his adminstration should be able to.
