It is the monarch that gives the prime minister and parliament authority to stand.

She represents the foundations of their very democracy. And this
decision has upended their system. We will see how it plays out.

And she's worried about maintaining the legitimacy of the crown. Worried the nuts will go all Cromwell on her, minus the beheading. Guesses on my part.

Her anti-democracy decision could further damage the monarchy. As the monarchy is
seen as a part of the government rather than a vestige of the older authoritarian
system. This action puts that identity at risk. it puts her monarchy at risk especially
if no-deal Brexit brings England's economy crashing and burning.

Johnson is an authoritarian and she has chosen to support that behavior over
her beloved democracy.

Due to this, the Queen will consent to whatever the Prime Minister requests. To stay apolitical, she makes no decision, she simply rubber stamps everything, regardless of her personal thoughts on the matter and regardless of who is Prime Minister.

In Britain, it is the Queen's government. She has activity been in politics all her life, albeit
mostly in the background. This time she has openly chose the authoritarian side. Many
in England and around the word are shocked. We will see how it plays out.

at Balmoral Castle in Scotland for this decision. The Privy council is a fossil, an anachronism and a sham.
