Mitt Romney to launch Ohio bus tour next week

Source: Cleveland Plain Dealer

Behind in recent Ohio polls, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will board his campaign bus next week for another cruise through the battleground Buckeye State.

The former Massachusetts governor's campaign announced a three-day, six-city tour late Wednesday.

U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, Romney's vice presidential running mate, will stump solo on the first stop, scheduled for Monday in Lima. He'll meet Romney on Tuesday in Cincinnati before Romney heads on to Dayton by himself.

Romney will campaign Wednesday in the Columbus, Cleveland and Toledo areas. Additional details have yet to be announced.

There was some hinting of that recently. I wonder if he's going to show up in "newly made-over orange face" just like Boner?

and Virginia is slipping away. It is telling to me that they aren't hitting either Virginia or Wisconsin.

I'd say they are abandoning Wisconsin and they must win both OH and VA, so the bus will probably head to VA next. Romney was in FL today.

If they give up on Wisconsin, then there are loads of combinations that get Obama across the finish line. Florida does it all by itself. Another nice combo is VA + NV + NH, which are all looking good for Obama. OH + IA does it and so does OH + NV.

And Obama does even have to win OH, FL or VA. NV + CO + IA + NH wins for him.

So basically, they can't write off any more states after WI. We're getting very close to the time when they need a Hail Mary pass at one of the debates. I just can't see Obama giving Romney any significant openings in the debates. Obama has a really unfair advantage because he can just stick with the facts. Romney has had so many positions that he won't be able to make a lick of sense. He'll come across with all the platitudes, but that doesn't seem to be working for him.

Obama will spend one day in Ohio the following week, talk to 3x as many people as they do, and at least erase any temporary gains by the rethugs.

People should follow Romney on these tours of his through industrial areas and any Red States he visits with signs saying things like:

Thanks to the 1% gaming the system in order to redistribute wealth upwards to themselves, none of you make enough to qualify for Federal Income Tax. And as far as Romney is concerned you are part of the 47% moocher class.

If want out of Romney’s 47% moocher class, start a Union at your work so you can make enough to qualify to pay Federal Income tax.

In public Romney says that he wants to help 100% of Americans. In Private Romney says that it is not his job to worry about all of you hard working Americans who don’t make enough, thanks to the decades long Conservative war on labor, to qualify to pay Federal Income Tax.
