Schumer warns Intel officials that Trump could expose whistleblower

Source: The Hill

Schumer sent a letter to acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire and Inspector General Michael Atkinson on Monday saying he's "concerned" Trump might disclose the individual's identity and wants to know what steps are being taken to protect the person.

"In light of the President’s ill-advised statements, his lack of respect for the rule of law and his well-documented habit of condoning violence by his supporters, I am concerned that he may disclose the whistleblower’s identity or cause it to be disclosed by others in the Administration," Schumer wrote in the letter.

Schumer's letter, which was first reported by Politico, comes shortly after Trump used a Cabinet meeting to double down on his demand that the whistleblower be publicly identified.

Mob bosses take out hits on anybody who crosses them. This is a criminal mind in office and that should be the focus on how to react.

It was perfectly clear today that that is exactly trumps feelings. I also couldn't help but notice how he snarled when he said something to the effect of "I think the whistleblower is Schiff"

However he would celebrate his death. He is focusing his crazies on Schiff. I hope the man and his family are under SS protection.

I fear for his safety.

Thanks, Docreed.

And even s*** he doesn't have to lie about. He is very good at shifting blame to everybody else so if the word got out, he would simply say, "not me"!

You can't be serious. You know in a heartbeat he would disclose who it is in order to discredit them immediately. They need to keep the whistleblowers identity under!! wraps for good

Of course, pretty much every single thing that the many-times-accused rapist Trump does or says is grounds for impeachment, so let's just throw this on the enormous heap with all the rest.

... that's the reason for the Whistleblower Protection Act. Trump is openly threatening/attempting to break that law.
