President Donald Trump greeted with boos at Game 5 of World Series
Source: USA Today
WASHINGTON -- President Donald Trump was greeted with a thunderous chorus of boos from the sold-out crowd attendance at Game 5 of the World Series between the Nationals and Astros.
Trump, who showed up shortly after the first inning, was introduced to the crowd after the third inning during the Nationals' salute to veterans, a regular feature at Nats' games.
As the next inning began, fans chanted "lock him up," a nod to the motto that Trump supporters directed at Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Trump and wife Melania sat in the Washington Suite and were joined by a number of other politicians including Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Reps. Steve Scalise (R-La.), Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), among others.

I love folks without prompting, unlike at a tRump rally, spontaneously expressed their dislike of tRump and his tgang of crooks.

(478 posts)Sometimes I wonder if his handlers are really able to shield him from the negative. Does he really think he's adored? I've read they only spoon-feed him positive stories. This will really get to him. I wish this would happen everywhere he goes.

(3 posts)He seemed to be crying at the World Series when they booed him. I hope he cries when he's in jail.

President Trump drew loud boos and chants of "lock him up" during his appearance on the Jumbotron at Nationals Park for Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday.
Trump was sitting in the stands along with some of his closest Republican allies, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.), House Republican Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney (Wyo.) and House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (La.). Other GOP members of Congress present included Sens. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) and David Perdue (Ga.).
According to multiple reporters at the scene, the audience erupted into boos when the group appeared on the Jumbotron. Some members of the crowd then began a brief "lock him up" chant, an echo of the popular "lock her up" chant directed at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that can often be heard at Trump's rallies.
. . .
A group of military veterans also joined the president's sizable entourage in the seats.
