Israeli soldiers 'injured in Egypt border clash'

A number of Israeli soldiers have been injured in a clash with armed militants on the Israel-Egypt border, Israeli medics have told the BBC.
Israeli media said the assailants had opened fire on a patrol in the Mount Sagi area at around 12:00 (10:00 GMT).
There was a heavy exchange of fire, during which two of the militants died.
The violence comes amid a crackdown on Islamist militants operating in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, launched after an attack left 16 Egyptian soldiers dead.

One Israeli soldier, three gunmen killed in Israel-Egypt border clash: TV
(Reuters) - One Israeli soldier and three gunmen were killed in clashes along the Israel-Egypt border on Friday, Al Jazeera television reported.
Israeli media said earlier that troops killed at least two militants along the border on Friday when an attack was mounted on an Israeli patrol.
