NKorea accuses SKorea of firing inside its waters

PYONGYANG, North Korea (AP) North Korea is vowing military action if South Korea fires inside its territorial waters.
The North Korean military statement Saturday is a response to an incident Friday in which South Korea said its navy fired warning shots at North Korean fishing boats that crossed a disputed Yellow Sea boundary.
North Korea says Seoul's navy is using another unnamed nation's fishing boats to frame North Korean boats and to trespass. It vows to "wage a great war" if there is more firing.
Fishing boats from China and both Koreas routinely jostle for position during Yellow Sea crab-catching season. Several naval clashes since 1999 have left a few dozen dead.

North Korea is in no shape to wage a great war, other in the minds of the North Korean generals who might believe they have a shooting Chance of unite the two country's under the banner of the North.. The fact is, regress of the mighty standing army in the North, of more than a million soldiers, that the country is not able to muster the strength to wage a long war.. A striking out for plunder yes - but a longer war, with high numbers of casualties, and a drainage of resources, who is sparse as it is in North Korea?.. I doubt it..
But after the last couple of years, where the North have been rather provocative in their cold war against the South, who lost a war ship, and where an disputed iceland was shelled I suspect the generals in the North might believe in their own words - that they can win a war against the South.. As the south time and time again have not been shooting back and always maintained the wish for peace between the two country's.. A peace who is still not there, as North and South Korea is on war footing yet - the armistice put in effect in 1953 is still just an armistice a real peace protocol between the two country's is still not signed.. After more than 60 year..
I suspect this, as always is a game the North Koreans know well playing out.. First they are trying their best to show force, both for internal and for the international public - then they want to work a deal out - fuel for their heat power plants, food for the civilian population (a part of it, will guarantied go to the party elite, and tot he army) and other needed things, like medicines and so one.. It is a game the North have played many times over the last 20 or so years - and i would not be surprised than in the end, the international community again will give the North the necessary credits - and "gifts" to calm the tone down, and to make the North content - and not willing to risk a war against the south..
