'Hungry' Tom Brady officially signs with Buccaneers

Source: ESPN.com

Signed, sealed and delivered -- Tom Brady is officially the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' new starting quarterback.

The six-time Super Bowl champion, who had spent 20 seasons with the New England Patriots, took to social media Friday morning to announce that he had signed his contract.

Sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter that it is a two-year deal worth $50 million that is all guaranteed. It also includes another $9 million in incentives -- $4.5 million in incentives per year -- and the contract prohibits tags and trades, per sources.

"Excited, humble and hungry ... if there is one thing I have learned about football, it's that nobody cares what you did last year or the year before that ... you earn the trust and respect of those around through your commitment every single day," wrote Brady on Instagram on Friday. "I'm starting a new football journey and thankful for the @buccaneers for giving me an opportunity to do what I love to do."

Good news is he’s finally being paid for his value. Patriots are known for their low pay.

Tom Brady's last play in a Patriots uniform is going to be a pic-six in a
one-and-done playoff game loss to the Titans.

How sad and anticlimactic. This qualifies as "going out with a whimper."
He should have retired the previous year, going out on a high note.

Most players would never forfeit as much money as he has over the
course of their careers. It helps to have a rich wife.

He finally said "that's enough" and moved on.

Yes, I am a Pats fan (since 1975) and always will be.

Kansas City looks to be the next dynasty. Now everyone can hate on them.

Brady doesn’t have that many seasons left in him. They might have wanted to teach Winston to not throw so many picks.

Wow...guess the Bucs are really hoping for a miracle. And moving over to the NFC my Chiefs and Mahomes can't kick his ASSS in regular play unless we get lucky on the schedule draw with the NFC.

He could be gone by the time KC and the BUCS play each other again.

generate hundreds of millions of dollars for the hospitals they work for? ...just on their name? Sorry, it's not the same. Professional athletes deserve the money the leagues pay them.

it's Bruce Arians. His offense single-handedly cut short Andrew Luck's career because of the ridiculously high number of sacks Luck endured running it.
