'My Fellow American': Donald Trump letter to stimulus check recipients raises objections

Source: Columbus Dispatch

WASHINGTON – Americans who received a stimulus check from the federal government also are getting something else in the mail: a letter from President Donald Trump.

A one-page letter from Trump started arriving over the weekend in the mailboxes of millions of Americans who received stimulus payments of up to $1,200 under a new law designed to help the economy recover from the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic.

"Your Economic Impact Payment Has Arrived," says the letter's boldface heading. The letter, written on White House stationery, opens with the salutation, "My Fellow American."

"Our great country is experiencing an unprecedented public health and economic challenge as a result of the global coronavirus pandemic," the letter says. "Our top priority is your health and safety. As we wage total war on this invisible enemy, we are also working around the clock to protect hardworking Americans like you from the consequences of the economic shutdown. We are fully committed to ensuring that you and your family have the support you need to get through this time."

It is going to be tough to beat Trump given the willingness of the Trump administration to do things like use the official to include Trump campaign mailers. The Trump campaign effectively has an unlimited budget.

We pay for the Orange Cockwomble to campaign on our dime while we get our own tax money back, (we are paying us) and he gets to smear his fecal signature on it and imply that its from him?

Okay. Yeah, right. Yet, you can see some of the more information-challenged Americans thanking HIM for it. "See Martha, he's a good man! I toldcha so. Sent us this here free money help. Probably right outta' his pocket, I bet, he's so rich! Gonna' vote fer him again."

I offered to pee on it and send it back, but she tossed it in the recycle bin instead. I hope the recycle center conveyor belt spits it off the belt.

The "invisible enemy" is the big one. Watch it become tRump, Greed Over People, and trumpanzee's favourite expression for Chinese and Chinese-Americans and Asian-Americans.

envelope and stamping it helps the Post Office.

"Return to Sender" is at Post Office expense (unless you stamp it, too).

If you're gullible enough to pin Trump's tail on the 2020 election's donkey, you weren't voting for Biden anyway.

If you're stupid enough to be undecided on April 29, 2020 for the general election, you weren't voting for Biden anyway.

We don't need to woo undecideds. We need to ignite everyone everywhere who can't take one more day of Trump to show up en masse and subvert whatever foreign/GOP plot to throw the election may be in place. If the people can't rise against this existential threat, what the fuck good is the Constitution anyway.

...sorry...I'm normally pretty calm...but the last 4 years have really taken their toll....
