Michael Cohen's early prison release over coronavirus concerns was rescinded: Sources
Source: ABC News
President Donald Trump's former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen will not be leaving prison to serve out the rest of his term in home confinement, according to sources familiar with the matter. Two weeks ago, the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) had notified Cohen that he would be released early from prison due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Cohen's attorney Roger Adler told ABC News at the time. Cohen is serving a 3-year sentence at the federal prison camp in Otisville, New York, where several staff and inmates have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. He is scheduled for release in November 2021. Cohen would have been allowed to serve the remainder of his sentence from home confinement. It appears that other prisoners at Otisville who were granted home confinement have also lost those privileges, according to the sources. The BOP has not responded to requests for comment from ABC News. 1. Is it because he's writing a tell-all book?

5. I doubt it since other prisoners who had nothing to do with his book also had theirs
rescinded.

it was not targeted at Cohen?

3. I'm glad. Let one out, let them all out. Maybe the bigger issue is how and why we imprison ...
so many.

6. We imprison too many but I do think that he deserves to be in prison even though many others,
especially people of color do not.

10. I agree, he did his crime he made his deal so as to not serve a full term. He held things ...
back for his book which seemed to taint his testimony. Let him sit with the same chances as anyone else.

18. yeah but what he did
does not deserve the death sentence, which it could very well be in overcrowded prisons.

7. Is this a double standard, where Stone gets favorable treatment and Cohen gets solitary?
This stinks to high heaven! Those who are behind the double standard should be put behind bars.

At least a month due to covid.
Makes no sense. I hope Cohen is not going to be Epsteined. |

13. He'd be wise to get all his writing, audio/video testimony and evidence
to a safe place (maybe more than one copy elsewhere) and let folks know he's done so asap.
Whatever became of Epstein's DVDs of his girls performing 'favors'? |

15. Exactly, giving him the virus
would be too slow a death, the "Epstein virus" is much quicker.
I mean this is a case where I don't feel bad jumping to conclusions. have they said who rescinded the releases? I haven't heard who is responsible. C'mon, I mean Trump is sending a message, a deal that Cohen can't refuse, release that book at your own peril. These people are evil, Epstein did not commit suicide and he had similar information about Trump's sexual affairs. If Cohen has evidence about what Trump did at those Epstein parties his presidency is over. Cohen is in grave danger, IMO. |

16. I'm surprised that Cohen hasn't had a case of The Epstein Flu. I'll be surprised if Stone or Flynn
avoid it either. We all know what tRUMP thinks of his "friends"...
