China's Bo Xilai 'expelled from party to face charges'

Top Chinese politician Bo Xilai is to be expelled from the Communist Party and will face prosecution, state media have said.

Mr Bo was the former Communist Party leader in the city of Chongqing.

His wife, Gu Kailai, was convicted in August of killing UK national Neil Heywood and given a suspended death sentence.

Mr Bo has not been seen in public since the scandal erupted and was said to be under investigation.

He might do the world a favor and save the Chinese government the money to try him by jumping off a bridge. Most common form of suicide in China.

Much of what China is saying in this case IS the truth, or at least close to it. But we will never know for sure. Bo's fate was sealed the moment his wife was indited in this. In the west it would be the end of his political career as well, that's for sure. In China it could be the end of his life. And like I said, where the truth REALLY lies in all this, no one will ever know.

change that idea. Bo is done. He will never be the same. Bo will take his own life when the "friends" he had abandon him.
